WOA13 Nitrate

Compilation of observed nitrate concentration of sea water. All available ocean observation data were quality controlled, correction applied where necessary, and interpolated in the vertical direction to standard depths. In the horizontal direction, “objective mapping” was used to achieve statistically best interpolation to the grid. No adjustment for pressure effects (i.e. “potential temperature”) is applied. Note that most of data were collected in austral summer and seasonally biased.
